I actually figured it out – how to auto play Facebook videos in HD.

It was kind of one of those things.  I was Google searching it because every time I watch a video I had to click on the HD button underneath the video in order to watch it in HD.

I finally figured it out on Facebook.  It is so dang simple, so this is going to be a really short post.  I am going to show you exactly how adjust your settings and show you how to auto play Facebook videos in HD.

I don’t know if this was an annoying thing for you, but it was for me!  This is just how dang simple it is.  I think it is so funny that I was pulling my hair out for months trying to figure this out.  Maybe they didn’t have that option at first…  that is probably why.

How to Auto Play Facebook Videos in HD

Log into your Facebook.

At the top of the page in the right hand corner, click on the arrow next to the lock symbol.  Choose “Settings” from the drop down menu.

On the far left at the bottom, click on “Videos.”

Video Default Quality is usually set at “default.”  Instead, select “HD if Available.”

The AutoPlay Videos setting can be really annoying because a lot of videos on Facebook now autoplay, but they have no sound so you have to click on it anyway.  By the time you click, it is already 10 to 15 seconds into the video.  I think that is kind of pointless, so I just turn that feature off.

You’re done!  Now you know how to auto play Facebook videos in HD.
