What is your relationship with money? We choose a business opportunity with the intent to make money, so we need to rid our minds of any negative thoughts that we may have regarding money. Including the phrase, “Money doesn’t buy happiness.”
Relationship with Money – Money Buys Happiness

Does money buy happiness? The way we answer this question demonstrates our relationship with money.
My friend Paul told a story this morning about how money bought happiness for him last night. Paul took his two sons out to pick up five dollar pizzas. While they waited for the pizzas to be prepared, they had a great time getting gumballs out of a vending machine. As Paul paid the $10 bill, he added a two dollar tip. This was a take-out establishment, the lady he gave the tip to didn’t have to wait on a table.
As Paul and his sons walked out the door, the lady gratefully said, “Hey, thank you for the tip. Thank you for the tip.”
Chills went through my body as Paul relayed his story. Just two dollars brought light to someone’s life.
Money didn't actually create the happiness for Paul. The lady's gratitude created the happiness. A tool we know as money created an opportunity for happiness.
A gentleman caller made a statement correcting Paul. “No! You shouldn’t say ‘money buys happiness’ because money can do so much harm in this world. It can do both harm and good.”
After contemplating what I had heard, I decided to share my view about our relationship with money.
Relationship with Money – Money and Guns are Tools
Most of the time I avoid being controversial. The best way I can illustrate my point about our relationship with money is this: money and guns are alike.
A gun is a tool. An individual can choose to use a gun as a tool to commit a crime. A person shot the gun, the gun did not shoot itself. If guns are banned, good people that had guns to defend themselves are left defenseless.
Money is a tool. An individual can choose to use money for evil purposes. The money itself is not evil. Money is just a piece of paper. A person may also choose to use money as a tool to do good!
Relationship with Money – Delete the Negative
Delete everything you can think of that is negative associated with money. Money is good! Money does not do harm. When you have money, you put yourself in a position to do a lot of good. I have plans for great family events that would not be possible without the use of money.
