There are top five personal development inspirations that have contributed to my success in this home-based business industry. Call them coaches or gurus, these people are the inspiration behind major shifts in my business.
Personal development, I believe, is one of the most important things necessary to be successful in this industry.
What you put into your mind and the top five people that you hang with with every day are big factors that will affect your business. If you are around negative people every day, you better be listening to your top five personal development inspirations every single day from people that are making more money than you, because that negativity will bring you way down!
Top Five Personal Development Inspirations
My top five personal development inspirations…
Robert Kyosaki
I have to give a good shout out to Robert Kyosaki. I was in Iraq, and had just gotten off tower duty. One of my friends was reading a book, and I asked him if I could read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.” This book taught me to want more from my life and to get out of the quadrant of slaving away working for someone else. I have to give kudos to Robert Kyosaki for getting my mindset out of negativity and into wanting to own my own business. Robert Kyosaki is the first of my top five personal development inspirations.
Napoleon Hill
Another shout out to Napoleon Hill who wrote the book “Think and Grow Rich.” The year 2012 was the first time I read this book all the way through. We have a mastermind every day using this book as a foundation. You can almost think of “Think and Grow Rich” as your personal development Bible. The core principles to having success are contained within this book.
I don’t know anybody who has been successful that hasn’t at least heard of the book and applied the principles. Even if they didn’t read it, you can look at their life and what they are doing, and it matches the principles from “Think and Grow Rich”. It’s amazing. I believe you should study “Think and Grow Rich” thoroughly. We study it as a team on a day to day basis. Napoleon Hill is the second of my top five personal development inspirations.
Jim Rohn
Jim Rohn. When I first got into Network Marketing, one of the very first CD’s I listened to was “How to Build Your Network Marketing Busieness” by Jim Rohn. He really opened my mind to different philosophies like “profits are better than wages.” I could go on and on with Jim Rohn quotes. I love Jim Rohn. He put humor into Network Marketing. It was a sad day when he passed away. Jim Rohn lived a great life, and his work will inspire people forever. Jim Rohn is number three of the top five personal development inspirations.
Isn’t that amazing, what some of these personal development people have done? Their work, books, audios and legacy will continue to inspire others forever. That is when you know you have made an impact on this world… even when you leave the world, your impact will continue to serve others. — Mike Hobbs
Noah St. John
I love Noah St. John. Noah St. John is the creator of afformations. A lot of you probably haven’t even heard of Noah St. John. An afformation is a positive why question. Instead of saying “I am rich” like you would in an affirmation, you say “Why am I rich?”
I like this concept because it gets your brain thinking about what the answer is to the positive question you are asking. Some people will say “I am rich” and not believe it. If you say “Why am I rich?” now your mind starts looking for the answer. It’s like Google search in your mind. Noah St. John turned me on to this concept, and I am very thankful because it has had a big impact in my life. Noah St. John, number four of the top five personal development inspirations.
Dale Carnegie
My top five personal development inspirations would not be complete without “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” In our business, Network Marketing, we have to talk with people to communicate. We use some automation, but even in our writing, we have to refrain from criticizing and condemning people. There are a lot of principles in this book that will help you deal with people and be on their good side and be able to influence them for the better… not to manipulate, but to actually help somebody. Sometimes your communication, even through e-mail , text or video… you have got to be careful with what you say and how you handle yourself. “How to Win Friends and Influence People” is a big book in my life.
Top Five Personal Development Inspirations
Those are the top five personal development inspirations that have helped me. There is obviously, a lot more that influences me. I am part of a business that gives us an “Inner Circle” audio every week that we can ponder and utilize in our lives. We learn from people that make a lot more money than me. These audios had a huge impact on my income and in my life in 2012 and beyond.
