How to create killer blog content!
I was going through a training by a top income earner in this industry, Ray Higdon, and he really shared some awesome tips on coming up with blog content. I want to share with you some of those tips!
#1 – Look at your own bookshelves!
Pick 3 books or products you have not gone through yet. I know you all have books that you may or may not have ready already (I have hundreds). Decide WHY you bought that book and create one question you wanted that book to answer (there may be more than just one). You can also apply this to training webinars you have been to or some kind of course you bought on a subject. Just think about why you bought that book. What did you want that book to answer?
Now quickly go through the book/product trying to determine how it answers your question (the question you have, others have too).
Turn these questions into blog subjects. This will bring a lot of value to everyone!
#2 – Survey Your Attendees for blog content!
If you do live presentations in person or even webinars on certain subjects start asking the attendees this question… “What is your #1 question about ______? Fill in what ever topic you are talking about (Company name, marketing online, marketing offline, marking money online etc).
All these questions are great titles for blog posts!
Also if you do this live, passing around a paper and allowing them to remain anonymous will increase honesty.
#3 – Barnes & Noble
Grab 3-6 interesting books from self-improvement, leadership, sales, marketing section. Skim though the book looking for lists that are easy to use! Like top 10 this, 3 biggest reasons why you should do this… type of stuff.
Get your idea for your blog content and write it out.
This method is great because it gives you an unlimited supply of content. Also it gets you out of the house, potentially meet new prospects, opportunity to do some offline marketing like putting some drop cards inside the books you are skimming through…
The biggest reason this is so great is you are LEARNING from great leaders consistently. Just looking for good blog content you are always learning and growing as a person…
This method is also 100% free… Keep in mind you can put your Amazon affiliate links in your blog posts if you reference what inspired you to write that post. Put a link to the book…
Armed with these 3 methods you should never have to rack your brain trying to think about where to come up with some killer blog content. It's all right there in front of you.
Make it a great day!

Please share this post with anyone you feel this will help create better blog content!
Hi Mike,
As usual, this is a great post. Who would have thought up looking for 3 books that you’ve not read and ask yourself why you bought them? I wouldn’t have!! And, surveys – always good for fresh content since they get your mind going in directions that you might not have thought about. Thanks so much for sharing. I’ll keep them close so that I can refer to them often.
Hi Mike:
Thanks for such a great blog post. Your blog is full of value and I hope someone really looking into getting started in any kind of home business, online marketing or network marketing in general will take the time to read your blog.
I have been blogging for almost two years now and to be quite honest I have never thought of the 3 sources you outlined above. I would say I have used a little bit of number two but definitely not one and 3 and I am going to implement that right away. I have heard and read about Ray Higdon and the little I know of him is that he s a great trainer. Thanks for sharing these 3 tips.
Great ideas. Looking at working at doing more surveys myself! Thanks.
Thank you for sharing. These are very good ideas 🙂

Hi! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to resolve this problem. If you have any suggestions, please share. Many thanks!
Hey Marcelo,
Thanks for the response. As far as making your website mobile I use a plugin called viewmobile:
