Hello friends and here is the recap of what I have accomplished my first week of the 90 day challenge I put out for myself on December 1st. I have learned so much about the way I do things in my business by doing one simple assignment this week. Assignment #1 was to clean my car, clean my house, and clean my office. This may sound like a weird assignment at first but by doing this you find out what kind of person you really are.
“How is that?” you ask. Well if you take on the assignment and go 100% and get it done right away then you know you are an ‘Action Taker/Doer’. If you put it off till tomorrow then again the next day then all of a sudden it’s the end of the week and you finally get around to it then you are a ‘Procrastinator’. If you clean some of it up and decide that's good enough I don't really need to clean it 100% of the way then you are a ‘Let me do just enough to get by’ type of person. If you decide that it’s just too much work and you are too far backed up as it is and don't do the assignment, then you are the ‘I've fallen too far behind so I'll give up and quit’ type person.
Why is it important to identify what category you fall into? If you know how you act when cleaning your house, car, and office then you will know how you act in your business, and life in general. The first step of changing is knowing what is going on. Then you are able to catch yourself doing it and change that pattern and create a new habit.
By doing this assignment I found out that I am the ‘Do just enough to get by’ type of person. Yes it’s hard to admit that but I usually just clean enough to get by so I looked at my business and noticed the same thing. I do just enough in my business to make my team happy and to make the income I need for bills and a couple fun things in life. I don't go up and beyond like other Millionaires do. So by finding this out I can change that and become the Action Taker/ Doer type of person. It’s defiantly a great breakthrough to find out.
Assignment #2 of my 90 day challenge was to create my morning ritual. This concept came from one of Tony Robbins’ courses “Get the Edge.” He called it the Hour of Power. Basically you create a ritual that you do every single morning when you wake up to get you motivated and ready for the day. This was a good assignment for me because sometimes I wake right up get on the computer and start checking emails. Sound like anyone you know? haha. By doing that you are not in the right mindset and can really hurt your whole day.
So here is what I decided to do in my morning ritual. I get up every morning at 6am and first thing I do is drink a glass of water. Then I read out of my scriptures till 6:30. 6:30 I workout either with p90x or do my own pushups, sit ups or run. I listen to good motivating music while I work out. Then 8am I get ready for the day. Shower, shave get dressed and while I am getting ready I listen to a Jim Rohn cd the entire time. 8:30 I read the goals I have written down and I plan my top 3 priorities I want to get done that day. Then I do a quick 30 minute training with my personal MLM Team at 9am going over their goals for the day and answering questions. Then I get to work on those 3 priorities. Doing this every morning has really helped me when little hurdles come up in my business. I am in the right mindset and mood right from the get go.
Assignment #3 of my 90 day challenge for this week was to write down my own personal affirmations that I want to accomplish in this 90 day challenge. You need to write 1 affirmation for each area of your life you are trying to change. Health, financial, spiritual, relationships are the 4 areas that I choose to change so here is one of my affirmations I wrote down. “It is now February 28th and the reasons why I am now making $20,000 per month residual income are…” Then you list your top 5 reasons. Then you move on to the next area of your life and do the same thing “It is now February 28th and the reasons why I have gained 20 pounds of muscle and run the 2 mile in 12 minutes are…” top 5 reasons. I read these every morning at 8:30 as mentioned above.
So this was defiantly a good week, found out a lot about how I do things, set up a good daily action plan, goals to follow and ritual every morning.
I challenge all of you to take on this 90 day challenge and complete these same assignments as I did. You can also follow me and learn how to apply this 90 day challenge in your own business by filling in your name, email & phone on the top right of this page.
