I remember the first time I tried to win an affiliate contest in a big company I was a part of. I put my heart and soul into it, calling people, doing webinars, sending emails, placing ads, etc. and still didn't even make the top 10…
So I asked one of my mentors what I was doing wrong and he told me:
“If you do not place high in the affiliate contest (or insert any poor result you've had in the past) ask yourself WHO you need to become to create an audience that you DO have an influence over. Or in other words, how can you create your OWN kingdom where people know, like, and trust you?”

This changed my mindset forever. I then focused on activities that could help me build a loyal following and eventually I found myself winning affiliate contests, being a top earner in my companies and my team was also duplicating and having way better results!

I love this concept. I think often times we do need to step into the person we want to become and that means taking the action that that future you would take to get there. Awesome mentorship from Ray.
This is such great advice Mike, you give so much value, and you’re an awesome teacher.
