Today I want to share with you a simple tip for building credibility with whoever is following you right now.
Maybe you are trying to build a business from home. You can build credibility just by utilizing this one tip…
Building Credibility – Photos
Building credibility is as simple as getting pictures with other leaders.
An example of this is my Facebook wall. You will see that I have pictures with Les Brown, Sharon Lechter, Bob Proctor, Nick Hallock and Greg S. Reid…
I get a ton of pictures with leaders, millionaires, people that I meet at events.
In my company I have taken pictures with David Wood. I have taken pictures with all the other leadership that I work with on a daily basis.
Why should you take photos with these people? Because it will help you in building credibility.
I made this mistake in the beginning…
I would go to events and I would be too scared to go up to a leader and ask to have a photo taken with them.
It only takes a couple of minutes, you just get a picture taken with them and you will have it for a lifetime. Just imagine…
You are on your Facebook wall, and you post that you were just hanging out with the guy that has credibility. They are a leader in the industry, and you may not have any credibility. What happens when you are shown with the leader that has established credibility?… Your credibility will automatically go up!
I took a photo with one of my leaders when I was first starting out. I remember someone on my Facebook wall saying, “Wow! You took a picture with her? You met her in person?” This was in one of my first companies, ever. This individual was impressed because they knew who she was. I was building credibility with that person.
If someone values this other person’s credibility and they see you with them, instead of going to that person and joining, they are going to join with you.
Building Credibility – Email
Another way you can use this is in your emails.
It is so much better to be able to use swipe copy from a leader. For example, all you have to say is, “My buddy wrote this email and I want you to read it.” At the end of the email, include a photo of yourself with that leader.
This shows that you are doing the business, that you are getting to events.
Building Credibility – Events
How do you get these pictures with leaders? You get to events!
I recently attended a secret knock event full of thought leaders. Don’t limit yourself just to company events. Go see leaders that you have been idealizing forever and get their picture. I will always have that Bob Proctor picture for the rest of time. Now I can say that I travel around the world hanging out with people like Bob Proctor and Less Brown. Do you see what I mean? That will help you in building credibility.
