I was going through a training and in it Seth Godin asked a question that I think relates to marketing:
He asked, “How many people do you know who get their clothes custom made?”
I'm sure there are a few out there but the vast majority of people don't need custom-made clothes to look nice, right?
They can just go to the store and buy something they like.
It's the same with Marketing. You don't have to create a custom blog, or crazy custom graphics on everything to get it going.
Did I customize my blog? Yes… but only after I was in MASSIVE PROFIT MODE!
I think I had earned about $100k online before I customized my blog.
All you have to do is create something, write what's on your mind, and get your content out there. Once you have the money to customize go ahead, but until then just take action!
Action Step: Go get a basic wordpress or Typepad account and get your first blog post up!
