No Funds Marketing Plan

I got an email the other day from someone who has little to no funds for marketing. He wanted to know what I would recommend for a marketing plan for him to build his home-based business.

This is a great question because I am sure there are a lot of people – in fact, I related to this. When I first got started I was $100K in debt and going through a bankruptcy. I almost lost everything and I didn’t have a lot of money to market my business.

Hopefully this advice will help you in whatever business that you are in when you have little to no budget.

Here is what I recommend. There are actually a few things that are hot right now that are actually converting really well in the marketplace. If I had little to no funds for marketing, I would do a combination of things that I believe will work really well for generating leads and sales.

1. Build a massive social media following.

Some of the biggest marketers online right now have a massive social media following. So I would start that right now and I would be doing that on a day to day basis. The top three social media platforms that I would focus on are Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. I would spend a half hour to an hour per day building those social media profiles. Build as big of a following as you possibly can on each. I would post to each social media platform every single day. The cool thing is, if you post an image quote on Instagram, you can share that on Facebook and Twitter too – re-purposing the same content across all three platforms. Post inspirational quotes and whatever your niche loves.

2. Daily videos teaching your target market.

For example, the video above is for those that are having a problem marketing their business with little to no funds. I am answering that question in a video. If you are in the weight loss niche, then you will do tips on weight loss, right? If you are targeting internet marketers, you will do tips on internet marketing. You want to solve problems with your videos. I would post the video to Facebook and share it on Twitter and drive massive traffic to those videos.

Do this consistently every day:

Build up your following on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Post to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook daily.
Do value based videos with a call to action to reach out to you on Facebook or opt in to your free giveaway.
Start up a conversation with these people.

If you did that consistently every day, you could build your business for free with no marketing budget whatsoever and start getting sales. I don’t think you could do anything else other than that for free and make money. Anything else you are going to have to use some marketing funds and pay for advertising.
