Tools to Stay Organized – Internet Marketing

I want to help you in your internet marketing career by sharing with you three tools to stay organized.

The most common support ticket issues that our staff handles are passwords, inability to log in, or questions that indicate that they didn’t receive an Email update that we sent.

Three Tools to Stay Organized – Internet Marketing

Here are three recommendations that will make your life easier and help you avoid many of the problems those new to internet marketing contend with.

Tools to Stay Organized with Passwords
LastPass.com

When I started out in business, I never thought I would have over 1000 accounts and passwords.   I use LastPass.com as one of my tools to stay organized, and never have to remember a password.

Here is a word of caution, one internet marketer to another: never use the password saver inside your internet browser!  It is very easy to clear passwords from a browser.  Hackers love it when people save passwords inside the internet browser, because they are so easy to retrieve.

Unlike a browser, Last Pass secures your information in a vault.  Automatically fill in log-in and password information with LastPass.  Prevent hackers from getting into your accounts by making the password very difficult.  The password will be remembered for you by the LastPass tool.

Tools to Stay Organized with Email
Gmail

The Email account that comes from your internet service provider isn't exactly friendly to many of the online programs used by internet marketers.  An AOL or Comcast Email will automatically deem these Emails as suspicious and block them.

Gmail.com will allow Email from online programs.  For those that prefer the Email from their internet service provider, the Gmail account cam be forwarded.  Any internet marketing and online business related Emails should go through Gmail.

You will experience a better delivery rate and a lower bounce rate with Gmail.  Prevent 90% of the Email problems that internet marketers experience.  Use Gmail filters and labels to organize incoming Email.  Setting up a Gmail account gives you access to more organization tools from Google.  Gmail is one of  my top tools to stay organized.

Tools to Stay Organized with Web Browsers
Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome

Internet programmers cannot possibly keep everything up to date on every web browser.  When an online program doesn't seem to be working properly, chances are the problems aren't coming from the site, it is coming from the web browser you are using to access it.

There is something about Internet Explorer programming that makes it unfriendly to internet marketing, so I recommend that you use three other web browsers.

If you use a MAC, you already have Safari.  Download Firefox and Google Chrome.

If you are on a PC, download Firefox and Google Chrome.

If something you are working on isn't working, change your browser and try it again.

I prefer Firefox because of all the available add-ons that streamline the work I do.  No other web browser provides these features.  If a website doesn't work on Firefox, I try it on Google Chrome.  If the website doesn't work on Google Chrome, I try Safari.  When a website isn't working on all three browsers, then it is time to send in a support ticket to the company.
