Why I joined Network Marketing in the first place…
Why I Joined Network Marketing
I want to share with you a brief story of why I joined Network Marketing and entered this industry in the first place.
Before Network Marketing, I was in the Army National Guard. I joined the military so that I could have some benefits to go to college. I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, so I joined the military.
I was throwing boxes in trailers for WalMart one year when I got a call from my Sergeant. He said, “Hey, get your bags packed and ready. We are leaving to Iraq for a year and a half deployment.”
At the time, I was married and had a little daughter. I was devastated that I had to leave my family. I realized that it was a life that I didn’t really want. I joined because I wanted a better future, but it was a life that I didn’t really want.
I went on deployment, my wife ended up divorcing me, and I wasn’t able to speak with my daughter while I was gone. I remember coming home from that deployment and going to hug my daughter and it felt like she didn’t even know who I was because she started crying and running away. At that moment, I knew…
I needed to change something. I needed to get out of the military and stop climbing the corporate ladder. The bottom line is, I have got to have freedom in my life. I fought for freedom in the Army and I wanted freedom in my life so that I didn’t have to leave my family. I wanted to get to know them and grow old with them.
Why I Joined Network Marketing
I went back to work at Walmart after deployment and I was invited by one of my coworkers to a Network Marketing meeting. I got excited. I saw that this was my opportunity to have success in this world and build my freedom. That is why I joined Network Marketing.
I was so excited that I quit my job and started doing network marketing full time.
You know, I had my struggles. I was $100,000 in debt at one point. We lost our house and a lot of our furniture. I went through a lot of trials and a lot of errors, but it was worth it because I won my freedom.
We were able to get out of the military. I am the number five recruiter in my current Network Marketing business, earning over $600,000 to date. Now, I am not going to guarantee that you are going to make that kind of money and my results are not typical, but they are possible and I have proven it.
A military vet, struggling, is able to make it in this amazing industry. I worked my way to freedom. That is why I joined Network Marketing.

Great story Mike and very inspiring. At some point it is weird that first you fought for freedom in army but you didn’t gain freedom for yourself but you are the real proof that if we realy want something in life then we can reach that. Thanks for your story and for everything that I learned from you. You are true leader Mike 🙂
Hey Mike, awesome video….a family is an important reason to be part of this amazing industry. My family is indeed, one of my main reasons why I also made network marketing part of my life. Thanks…stay blessed
